MALAYSIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (MMA) CPD SYSTEM STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

1. All applications shall be submitted 30 days before the event date via the online MMA CPD System for accreditation of CPD points by the MMA CPD. Process would take within 30 days. Submit earlier to avoid delay as the review would not be guaranteed on time as we are receiving high volume of applications on a daily basis.

2. Late applications or postdated applications submitted after the event date will not be accepted.

3. All approved CPD events is mandatory to be advertised on the MMA CPD Mobile application.

4. Doctors that request to attend the CPD events held in Malaysia, must RSVP to the Organiser directly.

5. Please DO NOT indicate the “number of CPD Points” OR “CPD points will be awarded” on documents/ flyers/ agenda before the CPD review.

6. Event title should NOT include “Pharma/Drug Name” and can only include topic of the talk.

7. Provider’s Logo must be indicated at the top of all documents/flyers/agenda. Pharma/ Sponsor Logo must only be indicated at the bottom of the documents/flyers/agenda. Only the Pharma / Sponsor logo on all documents/flyers/agenda without the Provider’s Logo is strictly NOT allowed.

8. Please be informed that any Provider wanting to use a MMA Branch logo or MMA HQ logo must get written consent from the Chairperson of the MMA Branch or the Honorary General Secretary of MMA in writing. The MMA Logo must not be used without written consent from the respective branch and official approval from the Honorary General Secretary of the Malaysian Medical Association. Applications without this consent will not be accepted.

9. In case the date or agenda of the event has been changed, please DO NOT recreate an application again based on the same event topic/title. Each event has a unique event ID CODE and must NOT be duplicated.

10. After the approval has been obtained no amendments shall be made in title/ synopsis/ agenda. Any amendments requested will be sent back for approval process 30 days prior to the event. For any changes in the dates or postponement, kindly email the MMA CPD Department.

11.According to the Malaysian Medical Council Scoring Schedule, please note that the following is strictly NOT allowed for CPD points accreditation:

Master Course Programs.
Event Open to The Public, Nurses, Paramedical Staff, Administrative Staff and Medical Students.
Hospital Internal Meetings (Discussion of Minutes).

12. As for those Doctors that was unable to scan the QR code or requested for Speaker CPD points, proceed to upload manually using the MMA Excel or mark attendance after the event has been completed.

13. All documents provided in the MMA CPD System must be the finalised version with the Provider’s logo indicated. DO NOT submit tentative or drfat documents for review.

14. The minimum hour for CPD points is ONE HOUR excluding the welcome address/ closing remarks and/or tea/coffee break time. A 1-hour CPD activity will be entitiled for 1 CPD point.

15. The quality standards of the speakers are the sole responsibility of the individual organisers/providers. All information regarding the speakers is provided by the respective organisation of the registered CPD Provider. The MMA is not responsible for any unauthorised or inaccurate information regarding the speakers’ details.
